SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will commence nonstop routes from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline plans to operate this route four times weekly. This new service creates an additional direct link connecting the United Arab Emirates with Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already connects Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers access to two airports in Amman. The upcoming flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m., arriving back in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency partners. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first scheduled flight.
This new route from Sharjah enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights connecting Zayed International Airport to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route provides travelers with another departure point to reach Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport option in Amman. He emphasized that this route will add convenience and flexibility for those traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway into Jordan on Air Arabia’s Sharjah route.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport. The service started on May 1, operating three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Before this addition, the Abu Dhabi-based airline already served Queen Alia International Airport. When the new service began, Air Arabia stated its Abu Dhabi network offered 10 weekly flights to Amman. Now, this dual-airport approach will extend to Sharjah as well.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Flight Links
Throughout its scheduled operations, the new Sharjah flights will be identified by the G9 169 and G9 170 flight numbers. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also offers SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meal service, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can book the new Amman City Airport flights via the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of the November launch.
This November introduction broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan, facilitated through several operational hubs. Sharjah passengers will now have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Passengers from Abu Dhabi already benefit from services to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah flights will add four weekly departures to the airline’s wider Jordan schedule, strengthening regional links.
