ABU DHABI: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Feb. 24, to discuss bilateral cooperation within the framework of the two countries’ strategic partnership. The leaders reviewed ties across multiple areas and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing relations, according to details released after the talks. Sheikh Mohamed and Lula reviewed the progress of UAE-Brazil cooperation, with a focus on economic, trade and development links. The meeting between the two presidents was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, as well as several ministers and senior officials. The delegation accompanying the Brazilian president also took part, officials said.
Regional issues and diplomatic engagement
Beyond bilateral cooperation, the two leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern, according to the meeting summary.
